bleeding gums

Scurvy still exists! Vitamin C deficiency can cause bleeding gums and is commonly seen in malnourished older adults. You can also result in weakness and anemia, but is easily corrected.

This issue may also be due to an accumulation of plaque in the gum, causing inflammation and bleeding. You should consult your dentist about this issue. And if the bleeding persists, it may be a sign of severe medical disorders should consult your general practitioner about it.

Solution: Eat foods rich in vitamin C, such as peaches, kiwi, blackcurrants, peppers, berries and citrus fruits.
